Inside a Chinese language class. Robert Tharp was the chief instructor. Born in China in a missionary family, Tharp was regarded as the best non-Asian Chinese speaking person in the entire world. After emigrating to the United States and becoming a citizen, Tharp helped establish the Air Force - Yale IFEL program.
