Top image: Hotel Suaya in the rural Colombian village of Ráquira - a colorful artisans' center in the Andes Mountains. The building is typical of South American architectural style, with its ceramic tiles, bright colors and balcony.
Bottom image: the opulent, classical Grand Hotel, in Taipei, Taiwan, in typical oriental architectural style. This hotel was built years ago, under the direction of Madame Chiang Kai-Shek, the first lady of the first Chinese Nationalist administration in Taiwan. It is interesting that both hotels share similar color schemes. |
