Shame on you for not knowing what "shanda" means!
"shanda" is the Yiddish word for "shame, disgrace, disgusting"
Like in this picture, Paul Abrams is holding a cigarette - such a "shanda" already!
From what we hear, Paul is doing well over 50 years later, but this doesn't mean that cigarettes are good. Then again, we can't be sure that Paul was actually smoking the cigarette (you should wonder why Jewish people become lawyers??). And not knowing what "shanda" means is a double shanda!!
